The saturation magnetization of the samples of Mn1-xZnxFe2O4 was taken from the literature and the saturation magnetization of the samples of MnAlxFe2-xO4 was estimated from the cation distribution; ferromagnetic resonance spectra were used to determine the magnetocrystalline anisotropy. The results show that the saturation magnetization and the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of the mixed ferrites MnZnFeO4 and MnAlFeO4 vary over a wide range with Zn and Al concentrations, a result that could be useful for practical applications of these materials. Partículas nanométricas de Mn1-xZnxFe2O4, em que 0 ≤ x ≤ 1, e MnAlxFe2-xO4, em que 0 ≤ x ≤ 2, foram sintetizadas pelo método sol-gel/combustão e as propriedades magnéticas desses compostos foram investigadas e comparadas. A magnetização de saturação das amostras de Mn1-xZnxFe2O4 foi obtida na literatura e a magnetização de saturação das amostras de MnAlxFe2-xO4 foi estimada a partir da distribuição catiônica; espectros de ressonância ferromagnética foram usados para determinar a anisotropia magnetocristalina. Os resultados mostraram que a magnetização de saturação e a anisotropia magnetocristalina das ferritas mistas MnZnFeO4 e MnAlFeO4 variam muito com as concentrações de Zn e Al, respectivamente, um resultado que pode ser útil para aplicações práticas desses materiais.
