This article aims to demonstrate the importance of racial and gender issues in the school environment, in order to seek a better understanding of how this topic is discussed in the classroom, in order to avoid the spread of any kind of prejudice between the students and/or teachers. The need for debate about race and gender should not be limited to higher education institutions and the media, but also at school, an area made up of different individuals, whatallows the possibility of manifestation of discrimination, especially regarding race and gender. These questions can be deepened through the bibliographical review, which exposes the ideas of relevant authors, as well as Melo (2015), Tilio & Souto Júnior (2014), Nogueira (2008), Gomes (2005), among others. |
